Fort St. Joseph National Historic Site of Canada
From 1796 to 1812 this British outpost was a thriving community of soldiers, Indigenous peoples and fur traders. Today, Parks Canada operates this archaeological site featuring the ruins of the old fort, a visitor centre, museum, theatre, gift shop, daily historical interpretation and several kilometres of nature trails. Open Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., June 1st to September 30th.
